My Credentials

I have to be honest and say that I have no credentials other than I was a chewer for the better part of 30 years. This may in fact, be the biggest credential of all. I guess that will be up to you to judge should you decide to buy this book. I am not a doctor. I am not a writer. I am just someone who has been caught up in the nicotine addiction through chewing tobacco and I am simply trying to help those also caught up in it. Hopefully before it is too late. We only get one life here on earth, why go through it addicted and/or disfigured or filled with negative and anxious feelings?

I also have to say that I am just like everyone else that I read about and corresponded with on the internet forums. I am a father and a husband and I get up every day and go to work just like everyone else. I was an average athlete in high school. I live in a middle class neighborhood. As I talk with others trying to quit on the forums, I am amazed by the connection and the bond you establish with these people when, at least at the outset, you know very little about them-other than their user name and the fact that they are also reaching out for help in ending their addiction. As the posts go back and forth, you extract a little more information about them and despite the obvious differences in where you live, your nationalities, your job, we are all connected by our struggle to give up chew. This is why I wrote this book. Originally, I thought my addiction to this habit was fairly unique. I found out that it is not unique at all. I was, and am, one of those regular everyday guys. I figured out a way to quit and I want to share it. It is that simple. This is how I did it. This is what worked for me.

Good luck on your journey.
